It is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. We utilize Putnam County Schools adoptive Creative Curriculum used in all Pre-K and Kindergarten sites. We offer a well-rounded summer program based on weekly themes that include exciting fieldtrips, physical activities, crafts, and healthy snacks and meals. We are very excited about our Kiddie Camp for preschool age children.
Tri-County YMCA Kiddie Camp is a state licensed, discovery and enrichment program designed to facilitate an environment of fun, learning, and self-discovery. Our day camps welcome kids of all backgrounds to discover who they are and imagine who they can be, with programs that foster lifelong skills, build self-confidence and create lasting friendships.
It is also a great way for incoming preschoolers to become familiar with our staff and setting. Kiddie Camp offers the same summer activities and adventures as Camp High-Tor, but within a preschool environment. Each child will be provided with a nutritional lunch and two healthy snacks. It will be held at the Tri-County YMCA Child Care/Pre-K Center in Scott Depot. Children must be fully potty trained, no pull-ups. Summer Kiddie Camp is for children 4 or 5 years old, who will attend Preschool or Kindergarten in the fall.
